The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (the “CCPA”), one of the most stringent consumer privacy laws in the country significantly expands the disclosure obligations of covered businesses as well as the privacy rights of California consumers. Organizations subject to the CCPA will be required to comply with new requirements, including additional consumer disclosures. Failure to comply with the CCPA exposes organizations to regulatory fines and private lawsuits.
Companies concerned about their CCPA risk can contact Porzio's Data Privacy Team to identify their CCPA obligations and implement the appropriate compliance controls. Porzio Compliance Services assesses regulatory compliance through proprietary data mapping and readiness tool, Porzio's CCPA Assessment, and through interviews of key stakeholders. From these results, we identify your obligations and work with your team to create policies and procedures to assist your company in meeting regulatory requirements.
